Marjorie Taylor Greene, saying, “Don’t tell me this is about a condemnation of anti-Semitic slurs, when you have a member of the Republican caucus who has talked about Jewish space lasers, and then elevated her to some of the top committee assignments in this body.” “This is about discriminating against American women of color.”
Greene propagated baseless and anti-Semitic conspiracies in 2018 suggesting that powerful Jewish bankers and politicians were behind the “Camp Fire” inferno in California. She later apologized. She now sits on prominent panels on oversight and homeland security after losing her committee appointments during the previous Congress due to her remarks.

Republicans were also criticized by Ocasio-Cortez for giving Rep. Paul Gosar “one of the most prominent committee assignments in this Congress” despite the fact that she said he had threatened her life.
